Install the Clikr extension
Add Clikr to Chrome or Firefox on the computer where you present. That is the only install, and it takes a couple of clicks.
Pair your phone
Click the Clikr icon in your browser toolbar to show a QR code, then scan it with your phone. It pairs in seconds.
Present and point
Open your Google Slides deck and start Present mode, then hold the button to point and swipe to change slides.

Nobody can read your slides but you
Clikr links your phone and computer over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection (WebRTC), direct between the two devices whenever your networks allow it. Where they do not, the connection is relayed, and the relay passes the encrypted traffic on without being able to read it. Slide content, speaker notes, and previews are never sent to or stored on our servers. A server only introduces the two devices once, during pairing, then steps out of the way.

Does Clikr work with Google Slides?
Yes. Google Slides runs in your browser, so Clikr drives it directly. Open your deck, start Present mode, and your phone controls the slides and the laser pointer. There is no Google add-on to authorize and no access to your Google account is required.
Do I need to install an app on my phone?
No. The phone side is a web app, so you just scan the on-screen QR code or open a link in your mobile browser. The only thing you install is the Clikr extension in your desktop browser, where your Google Slides deck is open.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The phone side is a web app that runs in your mobile browser, with nothing to install. We test it on recent versions of Chrome and Firefox on Android and Safari on iPhone.
Do I need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
There is no Bluetooth pairing. Your phone and computer talk over a direct WebRTC connection, so both devices need to be online. They usually connect fastest on the same Wi-Fi network, and a server is used only for a moment during pairing to introduce the two devices to each other.
Can I use my phone as a laser pointer for Google Slides?
Yes, and it is the part a basic clicker cannot do. Hold the button and point your phone at the screen to steer a laser dot across your Google Slides deck. Pro adds a spotlight, a magnifier, and a pen for drawing on the slide.
Can I see my speaker notes and the next slide on my phone?
Yes, with Pro. When you present Google Slides, Clikr streams your speaker notes and a preview of the next slide to your phone, so you can read what is coming while the audience sees only the slide. It flows over the same private peer-to-peer connection, so your notes never reach our servers.
